Born of ancient rituals, Ayla—clear rice whiskey—is a thousand-year-old living heritage of Kathmandu, Nepal. Commonly rested with spices in earthenware, it is not aged in wood.
Our MASALA WHISKEY™ is a reimagination of this tradition: rested in Brazilian Amburana casks, infused with premium whole spices such as alaichi (Nepal’s famed large black cardamom). The result is an aromatic Ayla, unapologetically full of character.
This whiskey is an homage to Ason,the millennia-old cultural crossroads of shrines and spices in Kathmandu.
